Ara and Aunt Berjouhie
Ara was born on June 1, 1980, in Erie, Pennsylvania.

When he was 16 until graduation from high school, he served in the role of a deacon in the Armenian Church of Erie Mission Parish.

He graduated with distinction from Duke University in 2002 with a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering. While going to Duke, he served in the role of a deacon in the Armenian Church of Charlotte. In Charlotte on March 23rd, 2003, Archbishop Khajag Barsamian ordained Ara to the office of sub-deacon.

Ara served in Armenia for four months working with Fr. Dajad Davidian's Youth Movement through the Armenian Volunteer Corps program.

Ara is currently a medical student at St. George's University.

Ara's primary role in the Armenian Apostolic Church Library is as webmaster, content finder, and copyright permission obtainer.
